My lit teachers said Poe is
the father of the short story. The object of a short story (kinda like the object of a poem) is to leave the reader with a particular mood or emotion. Apparently the novel is to teach, but the short story grabs. I'm enjoying your reviews & appreciate your comments on my blog. :)

Quite an informative review
Edgar Allan Poe is a wonderful classic author and his poem "The Raven", is simply impeccable in quality. I once wrote a poem inspired by the rhythm and flow of the "The Raven".
I've never read this book by Sheldon Rusch but it seems like a very entertaining read. And it is refreshing to know that there are modern writers who pay homage to the great classical authors.
