Jaz - You always make me laugh. You got me with the "ballroom...
...dancing". Didn't see it coming. - So, buy a stuffed squirrel, hang it from a string tied to the end of a long pole, hold it in front of the two of you and "WOW", you'll be flying!

Ms. Flogger--- Ursa has two speeds: Dawdle and Beserk. The
latter is for treeing squirrels. The former is for the other 23 hours and 59 minutes in a day. She has been bugging me to take a ballroom dance class.

Jaz - Maybe Ursa's "human" needs to shead a few pounds as well. If...
... you're nice she might take you jogging.

Ms. Flogger--- Thanks. But now there's a strain on the relationship.
At the vet yesterday, we learned that Ursa has packed on some extra pounds during the past year. So, it's diet time, which she does not like.

Jazwolf, this is a very sweet piece about your lovely four-legged companion. You are very unlike your mother, who is scary of most pets (?). I envy you for the unconditional love between you and Ursa.
(By the way, I have corrected some of my grammatical mistakes by more careful proofreading. If you have time, please check my post again and see if there are any uncorrected ones. I welcome your language advice.)

Brettnik--- I suspect that she can, although she keeps that a secret from
me. Thanks so much for the compliment. As a matter of fact, I sold an essay about Ursa to a pet magazine a couple of years ago. But wouldn't hurt to submit this one as well. I appreciate the encouragement.

This is just beautiful. I wish Ursa could read. She can't, can she!
I think a pet lover's mag would be proud to include this tribute.
