wow - 4 kg in 4 days! that's fantastic!!!
I have proven the point that I am an emotional eater - I think I've piled on 2kg since Monday due to Cyclone Monica - too many last suppers and chocolate biscuits!!! Back on the straight and narrow now!

ginnie - if I don't let myself have a treat now and again, I think I would go completely off the rails! We do have to live life...

Medusa - its tough, but oh so satisfying! I always feel so good when I've finished a gym session. Dieting isn't so bad either, especially as I allow myself to give in to treats every now and again.

ginnie - I'll have to look up that diet - it sounds good. I succumbed to sweets the other day too, but am back on track now! I figure I can give in now and again or else go mad!

Now is the time; the time is now.
I'm 58, and it takes an Act of War for me to lose a pound. I carry around a big belly that makes me look like Humpty-Dumpty. You look great in your picture.

Hi Ca88andra, I've just finished catching up with your latest posts. So
much has been going on in your life since the last post I read...the one with sex in the title! That post made me laugh out loud, not that your leaving is funny...but that you actually wrote that in your subject line! Some days are like that...
I am so sorry I missed your birthday...HAPPY, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! Sounds like you had a nice one, and don't worry about those numbers...they're just numbers. I'm ten years older than you, 56, but that is only true on my birth certificate!
I was moved by your stopping at the accident memorial, and leaving Easter eggs was such a sweet gesture; I don't think anything you might have planned would have been any more meaningful. I am sure that Easter was very difficult for those parents...every day has been, but holidays and special days are particularly hard...I think leaving the Easter eggs was inspired...a beautiful reminder of the HOPE Easter represents...
I need to lose a lot of weight...but I have allowed it to happen. When I was diagnosed with Parkinson's I decided to live with wild abandon my remaining "good" years...talk about living life to the "fullest"...I hope I can get back to that place in my mind where you are right now in yours...that place between our ears where we can make anything happen...dieting and multiple orgasms included! I can't believe I just wrote that...but will let the record stand! I'm in an "all too human" frame of mind today...

Hey, Cass....Now that is cause for celebration! Bravo for you.
I think your diet looks very healthy to me and you still get to consume alot of different and delicious foods. I am proud of you for exercising, too. Keep at it! It is tough over 40, to redesign our bodies but it can be done. We just have to hang in there and keep going!

That's awesome Cass!
I lost 5 lbs in just over a week by following the Sonoma diet which is fairly similar to yours although for the first week there is no fruit either. It's cutting out all whites and adding protein and the recipes they offer are fabulous! I find a little spice with meat and veggies goes a long way to stop any cravings...if each bite is tantalizing then it's satisfying. Yesterday I gave in to an urge for a sweet bagel and I'm mad at myself..but..back at it! I just want to lose a total of 8lbs and I'll be back to where I was for years. Good luck to you too and hopefully we'll hear more!?

Well done! I've lost a bit this week too
but I went for a radical form of detox - not keeping food down for three days.
