My mother loved fishing...so I well know what gar are.
They are not tasty fish that you can grill or eat at all. But they are quite large and awesome looking. Enjoyed your post!!!

The metaphors, the alliteration, the assonance and the whole picture of this descriptive poem - great stuff. Enjoyed this.
