Glennb, I think it a fair statement to say that we will have to agree to
disagree on Bill O'Reilly. I see no racism. Feel free to enlighten me. I just saw an interview with a black homicide detective who maintains that D.A. Nifong has no case, that the woman in question has stirred up racial antagonisms for her own reasons. And you may be right about there being no "real" relationship between the price of oil and the price of gas, but my point in the post is that a boycott might actually work. It might not but I'll never buy another gallon of gas or quart of oil from Exxon. Screw them. They've made enough money, including enough to piss away on a retiring CEO.

All corporations are leeches, Glennb. But when you have a capitalist
system, money rules. And I don't believe Bill O'Reilly is a racist. I don't have too much of a problem with him. Sometimes he's a bit strident, but overall I like him. He's one of the few conservatives that appeal to my sense of values.

The bigger issue: Why are you watching that "Racist Bigot" Bill O'Reilly?? If Exxon-Mobil were an advertiser on O'Reilly, do you think he would really care??? I respect the oil companies more for not sponsoring these buffoons! Look at Drug Companies they are the leeches of society!
