Glennb, we are currently working on the nutcase in office here, but there

is definitely a problem in Iran.  If nothing is done by the international community (that is, economic or military sanctions/interventions), Iran no doubt will wreak diplomatic and political havoc in the region (of course, our intervention in the region can be argued to have done the same thing).

As for the Duke media blitz, there is still no word as to exactly why the two guys at Duke were charged with rape and kidnapping.  All kinds of "evidence" is coming out of the woodwork on this one, both for the prosecution and against it.  This one will be high profile all the way, and we'll see how it pans out.  There is some indication that the woman was abused before she even got to the party.  But this too could be wrong.  One of the boys arrested, Seligman, seems to have an alibi and may have never even been in attendance at the party in question.  That notwithstanding, if any of those guys had anything to do with the brutalization of the young woman, they need to go to jail.  If it comes to light that this was indeed a hate crime, tack on more time.  But as more details unfold, this case gets a little more complicated, and I, for one, think this is a case of a woman scorned, abused, and race is being used as a smokescreen.  The Duke players still may not be guilty.  And I admit beforehand that my take on it could be wrong.

Ignoring the international rights of man, blogflogger, is what has cost us
any form of empathy we may have had among the world's nations.  Pathetic.  Bush has done everything besides moon the rest of the world to show his contempt for anything and everything not American.  2009 cannot come quick enough.

Saul_Relative,
Now as the "real" facts are exposed! "Race" was a factor in the abuse and rape of this woman at Duke!  Where are all these people who was claiming "injustice" because nothing happened! Making excuses for bigots? Not my thang!

Saul_Relative,

You should be a little more careful with your words! You use words like "trained terrorist, nutcase running Iran"! What do these words mean? Have you any personal knowledge of their activities? Try addressing issues closer to home! Like the "nutcase white trash" running America to ruin! How long has America been running Iraq? See any improvement there? There is still the matter of "bodies" being found in New Orleans! When are they going to look at that incompetence?

Wake up my Brother!!!

saul_relative - Good post. GITMO really is a abomination. What a ...
... terrible example of the behavior of a country who is in the business of forcing democracy down the throats of the world. - We'll respect civil liberties and the Geneva Conventions as long as its convenient, otherwise we will make up new rules so we can do anything we want to prisoners. No defense need be offered to them. Beautiful!
