Shypettite--- Thanks for the tip. The information that I included was on
the bottom of my copy. But I did a search and found that its author is listed as Max Ehrmann, with a copyright date of 1952. Again, thanks. Still, a great piece of writing.

The truth about this text isn't so romantic as its "legend".
I don't remember now all details, but this text isn't so old. It's legend spread through the world with this date, but if I remember, the autor wasn't annonymus one and the text was written on the paper from some parish, which was founded in 16.. I have to remind myself this story. I love Desiderata, too
