I love doves if they would just stop the HOO-HOO bullshit! Anyway, you asked about Katie Couric. She is one of the most genuinely likeable people I have ever met. I was a TODAY Show producer in Washington when she first got there. She was unassuming, very humble, worked hard as hell and as it turned out, a very good reporter. I haven't seen her in some years but the last time I did, I was working in the newsroom and she came in after being in New York. I didn't see her but she tapped me on the shoulder and said, "you're dissing me," threw her arms around me and gave me a kiss on the cheek! What a doll! I just love her. She's too liberal, though.

We used to have a pair of them in the eaves outside our bedroom.   It was amazing how the cooing carried into the indoors.

YES! The cooing starts right before sunup. I really do not need an alarm clock any more. I do have to give credit to the mother. She rests on the nest 24/7. I have never seen her leave. The old man is gone all day. Lord knows where this gigolo spends his time. He returns at dusk and they both sit on the nest together. Thanks for stopping by.

I like birds that are like the lady
but I think they need to put R-ratings on those like the guy, or something, at least tell them to move to another neighborhood if they get too noisy. I know in mine they would have kicked them out already. LOL.

Hi, Cypress,
How cute... I have the same kind of neighbors every spring, too.  They lay eggs last year.  I didn't get pictures, but this is a good photo.  :)
