I understand your postion, but
Our govt could and should do something to make immigration work better. They just had a bill before Congress on Immigration Reform....guess what??? The lazy bastards did nothing!
That's what we pay them the big salaries for...to recognize problems like this that need fixing and fix them. They drag their feet, take early and long vacations, do everything but their job. They're so afraid they might do something to anger their voters.
So they do NOTHING! Welcome to Government 101 - the American Way!!!

If we're serious about stopping it,
all we have to do is one, fine the living shit out of those who hire the illegals at slave labor wages and two, require said hiring parties to pay them regular wages. You'd soon see a lot of flag waving on this end,(Decent jobs for Decent Americans, by Gawd!) followed by a profound drop in midnight expatroiotism from across the creek.
Oh yeah, and give California back to Mexico immediately.
Alas, it'll never happen.

Not a good place to be!! It would be a good thing for the legal Mexican immigrants too, a higher wage perhaps. It just seems that this country is being drained by those that should not be here.

Timmy, my wife went round and round about this two days ago
She of course being a Mexican immigrant is totally biased and slanted to giving them all free access to this country.

For me the keyword is "ILLEGAL"
Which means they are here illegally, which also means they are breaking the law. If they come here and go thru the proper (legal) channels, I have no qualm with it. But there should be ZERO tolernace for those that skirt the law.
