This rings true to the sounds of battle. The way you described it though was beautiful, though battle is never that. well done

FARSAILOR,
I am stunned and speechless. This is beyond my ken or experience, but you have captured so much here: confusion, the loud din of battle, and the reaction of a seasoned soldier. Have you ever read Wilfred Owens?
