Offbeats, I'm jealous of you, too!!!

How lovely to not have to pay attention to the price of gas because you drive so little.  I drive approx 300 miles/week, 280 of which are for my job.

But I DO save money on beer -- just not a fan of that particular brew.

I know this may sound awful, but I don't drive enough to pay that much attention to the prices. I did see a line in front of one of our gas stations the other day. That was when my daughter and I realized the price was going up. On the flip side of that, my price for a bottle of beer remains at $2.00.

Kingmi -- and just what is your solution?

E85?

More hybrid cars?

Drilling in the Anwar (sp?) area of Alaska?

More mass transit/carpooling?

Fess up!  I'm dying to know your solution!

Writer, it's the pits, eh?
Last week my dad said they were paying $2.89 -- in California.  I'm sure it's higher now.

Corbin, so your gas prices change only once weekly?

It seems the price of gas takes a hike about every Tuesday, but it could be Wednesday, and some days like today it happens on Thursday.  I've not been able to figure out the timing of this.  I think they do it to keep commuters such as myself out of sync.  If the price of gas only increased once a week and I filled up the day before, they'd make less money.

It's a plot, I swear.

Thanks, scoop, for posting that link.
I guess it really DID happen, sadly.

Taps, you are correct.
I admit to having my suspicions about the motives behind the Church's encouragement of illegal behavior, but agree that Savage could have been a little less, well, savage about the whole thing.

I think that Michael Savage was pretty ugly about it.   He could have made his point in a more palatable way.
