Angel: "horrendous..."
I left the last part of the saying off because its meaning is self evident. Everyone knows the saying, so by trailing off it left it up to the reader to mull over their own perceived meanings.
It’s interesting to me that you picked up on my subtle meaning. Perhaps it is because I know you can relate.
Anyway, thanks for the clarification. Your comment does not look wrong. I actually find it deep and profound.

Cpt., I meant that the saying, "What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger",
should not have meant that we were to keep getting hit with "horrendous shit" our entire lives.... Therefore it was not meant to go on unabated!
Does it still look wrong, I thought it was okay, but if you think it is wrong?
unabated
adj : continuing at full strength or intensity; "the winds are unabated"; "the popularity of his books among young people continued unabated"

I"m not quite sure what you mean...I'm sorry...LOL...its Friday afternoon and my mind checked out of here about 45 minutes ago, leaving my body to muddle through until 4:30 by itself.
Bad mind! Bad bad bad!

I think I thrive on the adrenaline of "trouble"
Would I even know how to cope if I didn't live in "crisis mode" from day to day? Hummm, I wonder.
Besides, that which does not kill me...

I sort of pride myself in not making adult decisions sometimes.
The pain you feel is often sandwiched between the exhilaration you feel when a really irresponsible moment makes you feel free and alive.
