Krystal, I wonder whether you've ever considered this - probably not, as we often don't take a close analytical look at the writing that comes direct from our heart - but your poetry operates with a huge amount of calming sibillance, shushing the soul as the reader reads. And this combines with assonance galore to soothe the reader and create a sea-shore of lapping waves on the sound receptors of the reader's imagination.
Design or innate talent, it does the job on me. I feel serene when I've read one.
