I thought so, M.P.O., but I was trying to put a face on things. And you
could be right about Feingold.  He's new to me, so he bears watching.  I don't see anyone beating Hillary for the DNC nomination either.  But you never know...

I don't think Feingold can win ...

(for many of the same traits you admire).  I suspect he's, in essence, another Howard Dean.

Nor do I think Hillary can lose (barring some unforeseen circumstance).

I meant "that other guy" in a generic sense.

"On medical leave."

Mark Warner of Virginia? Is that the 'other guy' of which you speak, M.P.O?
Hillary's strong, but she rubs a lot of people the wrong way (most of them Republicans).  Edwards is very likeable, but he reminds me of the eternal frat president.  Mark Warner is a strong candidate, staying under the radar for now, watching his name being bandied about.  Then there's Feingold of Wisconsin, who has sicced the Judiciary Committee on Bush.  I like him.  He's smart.  And he's making a stand, which is something the rest of the Democratic Party isn't willing to do.  So far, only Barbara Boxer of California and Tom Harkin of Iowa are backing the resolution with him.  Feingold accuses the others of cowering.  The other 41 Democrats in the Senate say they are waiting to see the results of the hearing, not wanting to jeopardize their credibility in an election year.  Cowering?  Nay, cowards.

But, how do you really feel about the President?

Btw, who do you like in 2008?  Hillary, Edwards or "that other guy"?

"Initiating the healing process."
