I cannot agree with you more!
That has been my own journey and discovery too - that it does take time
and homework to understand and learn about making good and sound
investment decisions.

Thanks, Cypress,
I'm a late starter when it comes to saving and investing, but I'm putting a few dollars away now. It seems to be working well. Of course, I wish I'd started sooner. This is good information you're sharing. Thanks. :)

If I remember right Google ended the first day of trading at around $80.00. My mother raised a dummy! I could pull the trigger and buy. Shows you what I know. I listen to Jim's radio show and watch "Mad Money" also.

Really?
That's all (Google cost)?!
Shows what I know about stocks ... I do watch Jim Kramer's show though.

Google's IPO was about a 1 and 1/2 years ago. I know being a small investor that I could not touch the $35.00 asking price. Google was still at $150.00/share late in 2004. Anyone could have bought then and be rewarded with today's price of $388.00/share.

Thanks for stopping by and good luck to your portfolio.

However, by the time Google started trading publicly ...
their potential had already been realized.
In general, though, stocks are scary.
My older brother was a stock broker (for like five seconds) and it drove him completely insane. Well, that plus all of his severe mental health issues being left untreated.
