And who is holding on to the true cross or the shroud?
I don't hear of Christian Protestants needing these artifacts. So are you speaking of Catholics?
I am currently reading a book about debunking the DaVinci code. Very interesting. It would seem that many of the "facts" Brown proclaimed in this book are not at all factual. The writer goes into great detail on the whole notion of the Gnostic Gospels. To put it mildly, they are lacking in historicity.
