A minor quibble...

 

Your article looked well-thought out, except for the opening.

"Broadly defined, spyware is any software program that surreptitiously monitors..."

I don't know of any software that isn't a program. So to say "software program" is what is called a "redundancy." You should either say "software", or "program."

Otherwise, what I read looked good!

Thanks for the info.

I  run the spyware check at least every 2 weeks. I can't get rid of tracking cookies.  I always delete it. And the same ones pop back, eventhough I haven't visited that site. -angelle
