Ms_B, hey, what you're going through? I can handle a few stinkpots!

Yes, Talion,
bless you...I think many of us stand beside you. And again, thank you, kingmi, for your thoughtful comment and post. I certainly didn't call down the stinkers upon you...

Blanche, I know, I have to let my defenses down every once in a while and
what I really think.  I don't like making enemies, but I won't have this great country trashed.

Kingmi, I gotta do my part
 to keep blogging fun.

Taliion, Thatls all any of us do. Bless you
For your defense of this country and her ideals.

Kingmi, as fun as "non valet ilatio" sounds, you made that up, didn't you?

MPO, Well Al gore is a libertarian. virtually
Everything you say is a sample of post hoc, ergo propter hoc, non valet ilatio...conclusion without proof. You sound like a broken record.

kingmi

My pride and patriotism transcends presidents, policies, and political parties. I believe in the ideals described in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, not elected officials, geographical locations defined by lines on a map. My citzenship is in my head and my heart, not what's under my feet. I don't agree with everything that goes on. I see the flaws and want desperatley to fix them, but still I love America, warts and all. I'm never ashamed to say it.

I'm a Libertarian, actually ...

and my family are staunch Republicans.

However, they (along with essentially every presidential historian) consider Bush a failure, too.

MPO, It is only clear that you are a brainwashed dupe
For the party of that global think tank, Al Gore. What someone is experiencing now and sharing with us is true love. I think our time spent on Blogit is for learning new things. So maybe we can learn from her how to appreciate what we have not yet lost. Thank you for commenting.

She can take it however she wishes ...

the point is:

Believing Bush is a horrible, incompetent president who (mis)lead us into an unnecessary war we cannot ever win ... PLUS that our current democracy is not all that it could or should be ... is hardly "unpatriotic".

Is that clear enough?

MPO, RiGHT?

Ms_b, I think some will misinterpret your
Nationalism for politics. But for one who has been forced to live in such abackward place, you appreciate your old freedoma. MPO is a deep thinker and a careful Writer, but the present environment at home is contentious and changing.

I'd let it pass.

Thank you, Kingmi...
I don't fully understand the comment about naive dupes though from MPO...I'd consider myself to be anything but that. I do, however, understand what one is because I live among those who are not allowed to think for themselves...

Um, when we stopped being naive dupes?
