Hello Kevin!
I found your blog for the first time tonight. You've taken an interesting name for yourself. Just out of curiosity why have you brought your physical condition to the forefront? I too am disabled, albeit not severely, but enough to be noticable to others. Just curious. Anyway, now that I know you are here, I'll watch for your posts. Cheers.
I bid you peace and understanding. Arley White

Greetings from across the pond!
I would not call our Democrats "effective" in their opposition, at least in terms of offering any meaningful or realistic alternatives. They oppose for the sake of opposing and feeling smug about it.
Re Bush's re-election vs. current approval ratings: The election was almost 1 1/2 years ago. Approval numbers change.
Re why he was re-elected: Where to begin? A majority of voters favored him and what he offered over his opponent and what he offered. The reluctance of a majority of voters to change presidents in a time of war ,especially when the alternative was a candidate who was perceived as being hostile to the military and as having had a very dubious service record. (Kerry has never released his Navy records, when doing so would clear the record about his service if they in fact backed up his claims rather than those of his critics.) The widespread perception of Kerry as a pompous horse's arse who talked a good fight but was hideously incompetent. The tendency of the anti-Bush extremists to drive people to him by the shrillness and extremism of their rhetoric (watch our elections this year to see if it happens again. If the left makes Bush their only campiagn issue, I can all but guarantee it wil lhappen again.)
About your handle, this is the first time I've noticed your blog. "Disabled Kevin" is just another nickname as far as I'm concerned, no ramifications on whether I want to read your work or not.
