This post has me thinking, tigerprincess. I think that my motivation at the moment is pretending to be a writer.

I find that I am motivated by ignorance, my own as well as others'. My
ignorance motivates me to learn. Others' ignorance motivates me to teach or disseminate what I know. I'm a teacher, what can I say?

Tigerprincess,
Motivation changes throughout life, do you think you'd play Lady Capulet differently today than you would have at 13? That's a thought about habits: really thinking about what they do for me, like my coffee habit provides me with alone time to muse and journal and socialize, not just the caffeine intake, helps to be consciious and make conscious choices.

Ha ha, Tigerprincess.....Scriber's comments to you were great....
And your words made me think. You are right about connecting acting to writing and motivation on both sides. When I write, I do question motive for this and that. I should do it more in my daily actions. I understand what you are saying here...

I don't know about that. My husband's usual motivation is sports.

Men, by that I mean me, are usually motivated by only one thing, sex.
Once you know this basic flaw inbred in all males of the specie, you can write about men with authority.
