Doc, I'm afraid I don't quite have that much money in savings yet.
I guess I'll have to keep working awhile longer, eh?
Thanks for stopping by!!!

But Burly, Mr. von Goethe, you must admit,
provided some great translation fodder for a student of German, dontcha think?
Heck, back then they all talked too much!
And keep in mind, previous presidents did not have 9/11, the war in Afghanistan (I won't touch on Iraq) and a bunch of back to back massive hurricanes to deal with. I support Bush in a variety of areas. There were several dreadfully expensive unavoidable events that occurred, and I believe ANY president would have run up the debt.

Jane! Good stuff.
About the national debt. I heard on the news last night that it amounts to $30,000 for each man woman and child in the U.S. Ready to pay up?

Jane
Goethe talked too much and if you hadn't elected a big-spending liberal like George Bush, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in! Not really!

xenox, I may be conservative, but that doesn't mean . . .
that I agree with everything being done in the White House or the halls of Congress.
