Wow. Great beginning. I knew she was going to get it, but I didn't think from a sword. Quirky assassin or something more fantastic? I look forward to finding out.
Are you interested in constructive critism? There are some questions/suggestions I have about the piece. Regardless, I'll continue reading.
One other thing. Fiction isn't the cat's meow on this site, so don't be discouraged if the clicks and comments come few and far between.
