AC,
I thought about you last night when I heard a story about a woman calling the cops because her neighbors were staring at her. It turned out they were some shirts on a clothesline.

Seems like we have a lot in common.... What's natural sleep?  I think the amnesia has erased it permanently...

I saw that too!  I'm a bad driver to begin with....
Thank you for letting me know.  I must be on stupid pills as well as sleeping pills.

Thanks for the reality check and I'm glad you are in a better place now.

Permanent amnesia to forget some of my exes would be ideal.  =\

You might wanna think about

Getting off the Ambien (and shame on your doctor!) and trying some herbal remedies for sleeplessness. I hate to sound preachy here but getting addicted to prescription drugs is just as dangerous as addictions to street drugs.

My sister died of this. She was addicted to Valium and several others (one of them a drug to help you sleep). She 'accidentally' mixed several drugs  that weren't compatible or took too many of something...anyway, it killed her.

AC,
I have a bottle that I keep for emergency use, haven't had to use it lately.  This is why I like a quiet life...

Prescribed dependence
Isn't it amazing how stupid doctors can be? I'm not complaining, but everyone is so convinced a pill will cure all that they so readily hand them out. They forget what it is they're handing out, and WHO it is they're handing it out to. Let's not think too much about the addictive properties of the drug.....! I have insomnia as well, but now I'm so dependent on sleep drugs that I don't have a chance in hell of ever getting a wink of natural sleep. Ironic yes?

I wish you'd get into heavy meditation so you wouldn't need the drugs luv.

AC I was just reading about this drug the other day

It has been linked to many incidences of sleep walking and DRIVING while asleep  and under the influence of this drug. That was sort of noticed by the police and people who were in accidents with them...

Be careful

I bet the bottle says you shouldn't combine them with alcohol.  I would throw out the ambien and just stick with the martinis!

Scary...my sister gave me a bottle, which I threw out. She didn't want it.

I've run calls in the middle of the night after having taking 5 mg of the stuff. I was on it for three years, and I finally got off. I sleep much better now.

Those are scary side effects ...

although, I don't understand what they mean by "vivid dreams"?  I think I always have those.

Plus, to be honest, I can see certain advantages to "temporary amnesia".

Yes, the clothes people were in the corner of my room....laughing and taunting me....  Beware!

Oops.  The alcohol factor was a poor decision.  I'm good at making those.  ;-)

posted by AC_Allyn on March 12, 2006 at 12:20 PM | link to this | reply

I doubt you should take them with alcohol either...
That was a funny image of the clothes being people... LOL... but seriously, be careful!
