It loses a lot in translation. I believe you're thinking of a cockerel. The two are easily confused. Neither of them lay eggs and both can be shocking if discovered in the farmer's bed. Don't know where I'm heading with this one, so I'll belt up.

Damon, I am getting my party frock ready now and awaiting instructions...
Only one thing will stop us, and it's a very good thing, and that's the impending birth of my niece/nephew from my extraordinarily round sister, which will require a journey South to Newbury, rather than a journey North.
And if the Prof flies in too - I can pay the pint I owe for the prize in the 'Guess the job of the llama' competition.
Tis an odd life we lead online, sometimes.
