sometimes people find it difficult to reconcile because they find that the damage done is already too big for them to handle.  in any relationship, prudence demands that once an offense has been made, reconciliation should immediately be offered.  Otherwise, the "tear" in the relationship gets worse.

you are correct!  In fact, at this point, Jewish and Jesus' morality are still in agreement:  the beginnings of the sin should already be extirpated.

This relates to Jesus saying that a man who wishes to have his neighbor's
wife has already sinned, no?  It is the start of people learning that they CAN decide what they will think about, rather than feeling that they are helpless in selecting their emotions, desires, hates, actions....

Awesome and Well Said
Most often indirect ways are used to solve problems as opposed to going directly to the one who offended to get it straighten.  This causes anger to built and lead to many wrong actions and move us away for God.  Nice post!
