i was in elementary school in maine at the time
we had drills regularly. it was upsetting but it got us out of class!

Fourcats, I don't know how old you are, but I remember the days of my
childhood durin the cold war, where we had civil defense drills not from weather but from Russian missles -- Though our faith is in the living God of heaven, we do live in a very unsafe world!

some of my canadian friends
feel safe from the war because the canadian soldiers are overseas as peacekeepers. my friends say we will not be attacked as a result of this.
i say, did you happen to notice all the nuclear reactors in washington state the last time you drove down to seattle? have you ever noticed how the wind current comes up from there? we don't need to have bombs dropped on our soil to suffer devastating effects of war. i don't feel safe at all.
