Don't be, SlyCy. One incident does not a bad city make. Nor are
we responsible for the ruthlessness of others.

This incident makes me ashamed to be a bostonian.

Agreed, anglo. Sad that 'see no evil' and 'hear no evil' now means denial
of the first magnitude, given the "in-your-face" journalism and the ability to attain our information so interactively.

Thanks, RAME. I see this as a societal issue, one that needs be made
exposed.  Although the media gets hold of these stories, they still do not treat it with the revulsion they should, more like a voyeuristic real-life Fear Factor.  The initial act and the reaction of the media and the apathy of the public at large is disgusting.

Saul_relative, I saw this as well and nearly wrote about it. We are often

on the same track with these things. Having said that, I would like to agree that these types of assaults seem to be on the rise and I have no idea how to stop it. I would say that once more parents start acting like parents and causing their children to behave or have some self respect, that we would see a change, but who can know.

I think that evil is beginning to rear its' head more often and in more heinous ways.

Saul_Relative,

When I heard that on the news, I was shocked and thoroughly disgusted that people would do that to another human being, especially someone who had already suffered so much.  If and when they catch those two teens, I hope they have no mercy.  They need to be made an example of now before others get the same idea.

The devil has got a stronghold in humanity and we need to get shook loose now.

Great post.
