Brettnik, that is true. Thank goodness you did not have any
near you. I do but I live in a quaint downtown area commercial, old registry homes and lofts. We are all mixed but do not know one one another. But my grandchild has had the talk as well, and it is updated frequently. It is a shame, but true the children are not safe.

My sister sent me the link a while ago.
Thankfully, there aren't any near me at all.  And that makes me feel not much better as most've 'em haven't ever been caught.  I guess the one thing to remember is that most of these people molest people they actually know.  My kids have had the talk and they know what's ok and not ok, even from a friend of the family.

Blanche DuBoise
You know this has been in the news on all sorts of programs for the last few weeks as this is a critical move. According to all the data given it is not only a reputable group and is sponsored by reputable companies. The people doing this are not taking a cent from anyone except the sponsors who are on the web site. I am astounded you have not seen it. I am also amazed at your comment. I am not aware of any lynching or house burning connected with this from any direction. If you are please contact the proper authorities not me, I had nothing to do with it.

Justsouno,
I hope for the sake of all concerned that the database that you cite is accurate.  The wellbeing of children is critical and I agree known sex offenders should be watched, since it is a non-curable condition.  However, those who are accused, or are listed as sex offenders for non-violent or child-related offenses shouldn't be lynched by a mob or have their houses burned.

Taps I don't think so. I hope it never comes to my door or anyone I know
but truth is we all are very near someone of such a nature. It is sad. Be blessed

straightforward, this site does list people by name. You can put a name
in and find out where they are, supposedly. This is for the States only. You could talk with them about seeing if there is an organization of the sort in India. Since you are a lawyer, you have access to records I would think you could begin just such a move for your country if you could get some people funding it. Check with these people as to how they did this.

Nanaroo, it is valuable for everybody. There have been a number of
kidnappings of women lately. These are sexual crimes. Thanks for the comment.

Muser, I owe it to these people who are doing this as a free
information for all people.

Factor thank you for adding this link too. I was told they did not
offer the addresses. They do not supply them to family watchdog I guess either.

M.P.O. call your congressmen, yell, jump up and down.
Go to the state office and yell. They owe it to you. Be blessed.

Bambaloo, it is a shame but we must watch our children every minute.

Is there anywhere at all that one can live without having to be concerned about that?   Thanks for the info.

Need a way of checking out whether a person is a sex offender through nam

Thanks for this info but I don't live in the States. I live in India and have been concerned about locating tourist paedophiles who are registered sex offenders in one country and then when left go to another country and abuse children there and then when a case is booked against them or someone seems suspicious, we have no way of checking out whether this person is already a sex offender. Wouldn't it help to be able to have a web-site where one keys in a name and checks whether the person is on the list of sex offender or not?

I used this site and found five within one block. 25 within 2 miles...
My children don't play alone in the front yard (not that they did before, but I'm even MORE watchful than ever).
