Yes, assertiveness is part of the answer.
Cheers!

Prof & Dave...
...you guys are nuts!
It's going to be so much easier to deposit said turd on the owners doorstep.
The expense of a floodlight system, or of an auto-peppering set-up, could well be prohibitive.
Thanks for the amusement, folks!

I am happy and laughing.
Dear Damon and Dave... I am laughing out and enjoying your comments about the pepper grinder. I have another idea, a tube that will dispense a lot of pepper when the dog is in the vicinity.
Tonight, I am getting my money's worth with Blogit because I am really enjoying this.
regards.. Prof.

Damon, I like the Prof's solution. But it does make me wonder what your neighbours might think if they saw you out there with a black pepper grinder, seasoning a steaming pile while piping hot.

That is plain gross and disgusting and crude.
I have a dog and I get tired of picking up after her, but that's just one of the responsibilities of being a dog owner. So we go walking every day and ol' Jane always carries a bag, and that's just how it will always be.

Big FLOOD LIGHTS.
Dear Damon... One good deterrent for the unruly mannered of dog owners is to open a big blinding flood lights every time the dog would try to deposit some unwanted fertilizer in front of your domain.
In the Philippines, if a dog dumps or wee, I would place a lot of powdered pepper on it. The next dog would sniff the urine and sniffs a lot of brown pepper. The dog sneezes and avoids the place. But with snow, you cannot do that.
regards for now...

People can be so rudely clueless
I have the same problem with a neighbor's dog making my backyard his pottyland. And I have scooped it up and redumped in their yard. Not working; probably because I did it when nobody was home. ;) I'm going to have to be more assertive..
Good luck with your "mess" Damon.

I Should...
...definitely have done that!
(Actually, it's still wrapped up in the bin, and it may even have thawed out by now. Hmmm...)
Cheers!

Damon, we have a few owners with less manners than there dogs round here. I feel like, but never have, scooping and following and depositing said dump back on the doorstep of the dog owner. I never feel like confronting, because it's usually a big dog with a bigger owner who then knows where you live.

Y'Know...
..it's not hard.
For most people.
Thanks for the comment - I'm assuming I've handled my last turd today, so things are already on the up!

Sorry to hear about your refuse problem. Why is it so hard to be considerate of others? Hope you have a wonderful day and the "turd" stays out of your way! Blessings...
