So it's a good idea to think it's good and getting better in many ways.... Loved the line about getting to a certain age and going sour... like a quart of milk... I think sometimes that some people do. Go sour, that is. But most of us mellow - stop sweatin' the small stuff, lick the butter knife before we put it in the sink... :)

This is a great post... uh, entry. Melody and I have been talking a lot lately about the art of appreciation, and I think this goes along similar lines. people tend to reminisce a lot, but the funny thing is, when Then was Now it wasn't necessarily savored at the time the way that it is in the rearview mirror. everybody complains about getting older and wanting to be 18 again, but when you were 18 you were complaining that your body wasn't right and you were neurotic and overly concerned about who thought what of you. NOW is the only valuable time, because it's the only time you can work with and make adjustments. The precious present.

Thanks! Actually, I've been here the most today than anytime since I've been here.....I decided I didn't need groceries or laundry this week, and Michele and the girls were otherwise occupied, so I actually had my free afternoon .....free!! I still want to get together and will be calling you soon....my mom is getting some surgery scheduled and I have to go be with her the first few days after so I'm waiting on that. Looks like we're going to have some nice weather for awhile.....if you don't get called off to some storm!!

I promised myself when I started working bodily injury claims many years before you were born....dealing with scum-sucking, bottom-dwelling.....well, let's just say, unsavory folks....that I would never turn into a cynic like so many in my profession.....and......I never did!
