I think this haiku business might be a bit contagious
I'm tempted to write one myself. With a fridge full of mushrooms for a dinner tommorrow the imagery was particularly tangible.

Good elaboration of the thought process. There is the humorous aspect of both process being intertwined.

Love the entertwining of

metaphor, imagery, philosophy, and action. In short: damn good poem.
