To Corbin, MandaLee and glennb,
all I can say is -- thank God most of us have a healthy immune system, with good strong gastric acid pumps that can kill off the bacteria.
Now, that said, for those of you on H2 blockers, or PPIs (i.e. Zantac, Pepcid or Prilosec OTC or Nexium, etc) watch out! The acid levels in your stomach may not be adequate to kill off these bacteria!
Glennb, get enough of the bacteria with someone on the above mentioned meds and those bacteria just may NOT be quite so harmless.
Thanks, one and all, for stopping by.

Jane, I don't know about you, but the next time I eat out, I'm defintely
washing my hands before I eat. If this isn't a great reminder, then I don't know what is!

JanesOpinon,
Be careful here! Bacteria that exist in most city's water supplies is harmless! And remember the water in the toilet and in the ice cubes comes from the same source! It is great that the student won the prize for her effort though!

Offbeats, disgusting, eh?
Does make me glad that I am primarily a tea drinker. We won't talk about that pop I had yesterday . . . .
