It is all too often we jump to erroneous conclusions as a society these
days, being the children and grandchildren of the anti-authoritarian, anti-disestablishment 60's generation. We have been taught to suspect The Man and The Cops. But with all the safeguards against abuses against our civil liberties, it sometimes would behoove us to proceed with caution in pursuit of evidentiary truth, not simply assume the worst.

I am glad to see this in a blog!
After having worked in one of these Academies myself, I have been a participant in the very thing that these officers did. I have not seen the video, so I cannot comment on what they did or did not do, but compliance is the key to any change for these children and compliance is what is we strove for in the early days of a childs' placement.
After that, we could possibly affect change. So, I agree, let's not be hasty, let us first see what the facts are.
