Shadow, you do live in Tennessee, if you know about Tenn Care!

Mountainclimber,

Yeah, I know a couple of people myself that were cut from Tenn Care and both are in very dire need of the coverage. Its kinda like they decided that people who are too sick or will soon pass away were the ones that "got the ax" here. I don't think our current good governor will be much honored in the future when his term expires, same as the last leader. Well at least this one didn't build a new road to his house. Shadow

DrJPT, I don't know if limiting lawyers is the way, just a revival of
ethical conduct based upon the 2nd great commandment, "Love thy neighbor as thyself"

Sarooster, you make a good point, but still for the
State to declare we have not enough money to continue something that had been going on for years, and then shell out 7.7 million dollars to lawyers to fight the courts, just is not right!

You make some good points and they tug at everyone's heart strings, but

(and you knew that was coming). It is not the State of Tennessee's job to insure its citizens. I say if you are going to insure one person then insure everyone. Also, the courts should not have any jurisdiction in this matter. If the duly elected representatives of the state and their assigns, decide to take a course of action (it's that we the people thing) then that should be the final word. This is a hard thing to debate. I want to see everyone covered by health insurance, but you need to provide your own; not rely on the state to provide it for you.
