MPO, Though I do not understand the reasoning behind the
9/11 attack, I am reminded of the Bible verse -- "Blessed is the nation, whose God is the Lord." God protects, and sometimes providentially lifts that protection -- at least for the past few years God has used our government, her successes, and her mistakes, to protect us --Amazng Grace How Sweet The Sound!

Regardless of what one might think of the current regime ...
(and while we do remain frighteningly vulnerable) ... the government certainly does deserve credit for having (thus far) prevented any further attacks.
Because, I'm sure it's not for lack of effort on Al-Quaeda's part.
