To Confused:
I did not think he was good looking. He was okay but it was his attitude and his air of arrogance that made me think that. He sort of strutted when he moved. To most Latino women, he may be good looking. I don't happen to find most Latino men attractive, though.

The reason I brought up the "looks" issue is because I kept looking at him in disbelief of his rudeness but I'm sure he perceived that I was looking at him because he thought I considered him attractive. Most males have a certain ego they carry and women pick up on that ego real fast. The problem is that what they think we're thinking is often times very different from what we really are thinking.

Men tend to allow their egos to convince themselves of things that are way off base many times. At least in my experience.

I'm a little confused...

If you didn't think he was good looking, how would you know he thought he was good looking?  Seeing as he made no overt reference to that.  (Afterall, a sense of entitlement can be the result of many different factors, not just physical appearance.)

Or is it that he was really good looking ... and, you just didn't want to give him the satisfaction (of knowing that you knew it)?

Because, by you saying aloud "Well, he's not that good looking..." that immediately proves to him that you did think he was that good looking.   Otherwise, you would have never brought it up (without any particular reason to).

Do you see my point?  I know it sounds a little confusing, at first.  But, trust me, it makes sense.

At any rate, good post ... it certainly spurred me into doing a lot more analysis than I normally would at 3:30 in the morning.

Whimisalstoryteller, this is the best post I have read tonight. It is
painful to see how people act today. It is as if no one but they and their goals matter. It is everywhere from traffic to blogging. Thank you for posting this.

Making ME more aware...

if your post has no other result, it has made me more aware of my own manners. Sometimes, it's not "rudeness" but lack of awareness. I'm going to monitor it more closely.

Reader's Digest had a TERRIFFIC story about people who get in the express lanes with too many items. "Are you an ENGLISH major who never learned to COUNT, or a MATH major who never learned to read?"
