I think many assume that one must give up these relationships to experience divine love. I think that divine love changes them.

Isn't that the truth? People with such low self-esteems will wonder if they know how to love another person when they hate themselves so much. (my husband). When they are hating themselves, they withdraw from the ones who love them. It's a tough lesson, but the most important one from CwG, I think.

It is hard to love, truly love. Especially in our 'love' relationships, we become selfish and inattentive. Loving the self pays off the greatest in these relationships, and transforms them into what we were looking for when we entered them.
