it has always blown my mind that the constitution and the declaration...
of independence were so well written and have stood the test of time. our founding fathers were not christians. they were deists... big diff... they were elitists, the educated, property oweners... pretty much like today except they loved our new country and understood like no other Americans the importance of passing power from generation to generation rather than a monarchy like some politicians today. All of europe was astonished and impressed, not to mention had never seen the likes of George Washington. When he had served as president he was the first man in history to willfully hand over his power to the next president... had never been done before. Peace.

Our history is not so pristine when viewed with honest eyes. I never understood how the founding fathers wrote: "All men are created equal..." while holding humans in bondage until somebody informed me blacks weren't considered to be human. Okaay, but that opens another question concerning what the Bible says about sexual relations....so many riddles of hypocrisy.
