Go to Patriots' chances for 2006 Super Bowl

- Go to Super Bowl XL was a dreadfully refereed football game.

With the officiating in that game, one needen't worry about Janet Jackson, we got to see boobs the whole night long. One can't really argue that it cost Seattle the game, we will never know that. The point is, had the calls gone the other way, Seattle fans, coaches, and players wouldn't be saying much and Steeler fans would be livid, of that I'm positive. So the point really then, is, with this the most important game of the year, why was the officiating so lousy, it always seems that way, year after year. It's a matter the NFL needs to attend to.

I feel bad for Seatlle. The referees would not allow them to win
that game no matter what. Not one call went in favor of the Seahawks. A team cannot win if every call is against them. It makes little sense to go through all that season and playoffs and then not get a fair chance in the last game.

After the Baltimore Colts won Super Bowl V, someone said to one of their players, I believe it was offensive lineman Bob Vogel, that he felt like the Colts had not really played well even though they won. Ball, a member of the Super Bowl III losing team, shot back, "I've played in games where we played ten times better than this and lost. I don't care how we won as long as we won and I'm not givin' it back." I'm sure that's how every player and Steeler fan, including me, feels right now. The Steelers survived the b.s. call against Troy Palumalo and the disastrous Jerome Bettis fumble in the Colts game. If Seattle couldn't do the same, then too bad.

SlyCy -- You are right, and that made the game not a Super Game
but a super slow motion game!
