need of faith. After we have technology, and he or she can become our savior!

Excellent point,
but then of course, if we had that super faith to do such miracles in today's world (at least in American society) we would certainly be labeled as goons and crazies. But better that than to walk hand in hand with all the empty promises the world has to offer.
Which is likely why miracles are seen on a regular basis amongst persecuted Christians in China, Sudan and elsewhere, but not here.
