Doctors really are inept
I learned the hard way...
In your case, some vitamin C would probably help as much as anything. Some of the anti-viral herbs (Olive Leaf) should prove helpful, too.

Just put the kids in rollable plastic bubbles ~
And make sure the bubbles are slightly wider than the doors in your house. The germs will be contained, their yelling will be muffled and after a while the plastic bumping noises will be virtually unoticable.
