Heck, Krisles...I felt like I was eating that breakfast, too...
Nice images and good words. The reader takes the trip with you and sees many things. And good lessons you try to point out here about retirement and living your life, before too much time passes on. I get it.

No, this is actually my first (full) day "back".

Everything seems so different.  And, yet, many things remain very much the same.

I've been up all night, so everything looks out of focus to me.

I didn't have to do it,
But I did it to say,
"I didn't have to do it,
But I would anyway."

Madame!
I thought I was MIA!!! Where have you been?! Or, had MPO been around and I've just missed during my infrequent visits of late?  And, I have missed.  It's Lucinda Console....sorry, if it's blurry to you....maybe because my eyes are blurry most of the times, it's clear to me....hmmmm, must investigate.  And, of couse, you're right about the breakfast....and it's a rare treat....thanks for the concern.

I don't think you should eat that sort of breakfast too often ...
It's not very healthy.

P.S. What kind of font is this, anyway?  It's all faded and blurry.  Or, maybe, it's my eyes

Cheer up, Sleepy Jean.
Oh, what can it mean?
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen.
