angel,

Isn't that the truth?  I guess we were all just lucky, most of the time.  Sometimes I wonder if the need for an adult to oversee us might have something to do with people's need for religion of one sort or another.  I don't mean that as a negative comment on religion;  it's more a curiosity about humanity.  It's sad, in a way, but I think mostly because it brings us to think about our childhood and the adults that were around us, and how that need carries over into the rest of our lives.  I think it's human nature to feel a need for guidance.

When I have to deal with five insurance companies, medical needs, bills, banks, mortgages, government agencies, utilities, phone companies, simple cable TV companies, Internet providers, computer problems, cell phones and their companies, car repairs, home maintenance and frikken grocery shopping, just to mention a few things, I almost shout out loud,
''Is there some adult here who can take care of this crap for me?  And I still want a birthday present that someone else pays for instead of buying me one that I have to give them money to get.''

I have often thougt,

you know, where were the adults when I decided to do this or that. I am constantly telling my husband, we should really consult an adult before we do "that", again.

Meringue, Angel,

I appreciate you coming by to see what I'm not getting done.  I have big plans for getting something done, but it seems that I'm too busy with not accomplishing too many things.  There must be some secret formula for getting things done, but finding it is one of those things I can't get done.

I saw on a bunch of top-rated TV shows last night that the Internet is the root of all evil.  I'm not sure, but I think the Internet is the new ''blame'' scapegoat for responsibility shirkers.  They need to put a big Internet Master Switch on the President's desk.  That way he can shut it off whenever he gets pissed about something (or for Homeland Security).  We could have a committee of Born Agains in his office keeping their eyes on mankind, switching off the Internet any time''sinful'' stuff starts happening.
well, I better shut up for now.....   jack
