ther ei am agreeing with you
a religious fervor of thinking they are "
God's People" and that the whole land belongs to them blinds them to
following certain scriptural admonitions to mercy and justice.
and, of course, Pat Robertson and other such "Christians" support this
because they expect Christ to come once Israel has controlled the land
and replaced the mosque with a Temple.
sounds like Manifest Desinty to me --

Xeno-X makes an important note,
that the history of Israel is not so much one of one-sided aggression. There were Arab states who wished not to accept Israel in any capacity and threatened the Jewish state for that reason.
That does not justify the permanent seizure of Palestinian land, though. Some argue, "To the victor goes the spoils," but that's the same as saying, "Might makes right," which is not correct at all.

you've a point
and then some of what you've said is different from the history I've observed. I h ave to look into this.
I remember the 67 and the 73 wars, when Syria, Jordan and Egypt
attacked Israel -- Israel won in both cases, and took certain land
(Sinai, West Bank, Gaza, Golan Heights) that would appear to be of an
advantage to those attacking.
that's my understanding of that.
Israel gave back Sinai, and now, Gaza was disoccupied. If Syria
would appear more peaceful, then maybe Golan Heights -- although it
seems not. West Bank? -- looks like Israel is certainly
gobbling up land and displacing Arabs inordinately.
I have to review the original 1948 UN resolution and such that created
the State of Israel in the firt place. I know that it gave
Palestinians more land than they have ended up with.
