Life is scarier than horror stories sometimes,
wish neither your friends nor you had to go through with  this one

Jazwolf. If onlly a person could just wish away bad memories but they take up residence in our minds and they are there to stay. sorry to hear about your friends. Whenever these thoughts come to mind and they always will, try and conjure up any good memories that you have of them, to try and lessen the horror of it all on your mind.

So sad. There are so many different emotions

you must deal with  A similar thing happened to one of my brother-in-laws long before I knew him. My impression is that the path he chose to take was to not try to drown his sorrows, but to straighten up and life his life well... he is married, with kids, active with charities, former den leader, and so forth.

I hope you find your path through this too. It is a tragedy, but it would be more of a tragedy if you took it too much into yourself.

Jazwolf
...my condolences to you... the story sounds like a novel, I'm sorry it was true

Oh, I'm so sorry.
People act out these terrible things from nowhere and there you are, left in the ashes.  I hope you'll find more peace and healing... but I can sure see where that may take a while.  Bless you, and bless your lost friends.

Jaz,
I am truly sorry, for the loss of your friends and although there is nothing that I can say to ease your pain, I want you to know that I will be thinking of you today.
