So that's what went on in all those
John Wayne type westerns. Just wait until I tell my mom this! She is still getting over Rock Hudson coming out of the closet!

Joe
I know you've been waiting for someone to notice your Chicken Little funny.....so, I won't disappoint you....what a hoot!  Of course, it topped off another of your usual hilarious adventures you were kind enough to take us along on......

You are sooo funny...
well, from here anyway...I can really identify with your Monster, because I dated your straight counterpart for a few years. I completely understand his side of it, but it is hilarious to me now

Thank you for commenting. What you said might sound like a joke, but the truth is that Cameroon is on the brink of a civil. If the economy deteriorates further, it is certain that it will hit the headlines of the International media outfits. Especially those of the doom and gloom section. Once again thank you and God Bless.

Awwww, Joe!
First of all, I'm glad you made it to the movie in one piece, given Monster's acceleration!  Secondly, I have an invitation from one of my gay friends to see it with him.  So, thirdly ... am I going to get warning glances from him if I exhort to the ticket taker that we're a straight couple?  Hmmmm!  I think I'd better drive!

I loved, loved, loved this
More queens than ... hilarious. Spacey being in London doesn't count.  Funy. He is now one of the drama queens of London, is he not?
This made me want to be in the line and watch it all.

Next time can I go to the movies with you?
Tell The Monster to loosen up...hell we only live once and one of the best things about it is watching the shock on other's faces as we say something completely inappropriate!

I agree.  Watching the actors AND actresses pull off their rolls so successful was almost as interesting as the movie itself.

Great piece of writing. I enjoy reading your posts.

Joe, I'm just glad I wasn't sipping my coffee

because even so I kept spluttering with barely restrained hilarity (I'm at work).

You little monster.

I was hoping for some excitement when I went...
...wish you had been there... people are too serious and need to enjoy each other more. It is okay to share a love story that men so rarely tell. I cried. Those guys did a great job, don't you think?

At least he didn't leave you standing.
Is it really such a big deal for him? Tell him to come visit us in Pietermaritzburg. My brother and soon-to-be brother-in-law have been going out openly as a couple for months now. If the plaasjapies (That roughly means farm people) and good old boys here accept it, I can't see why the wouldn't in the US.

Joe_Love,
You didn't!  (Well, I'm pretty sure that you did), but that is too funny!  The local paper wrote up a piece in today's paper about all the supposedly straight westerns that had "homoerotic subtexts". I don't know about that, but I will watch "The Virginian" and "Rio Bravo" with a new eye.  I have not seen Brokeback Mountain...just don't get out to that many movies right now (but surely it will be out on Netflix any day now).  Shame on you, taunting the Poor Monster like that..you'll give him a complex!

Very funny stuff.  All I can say is that little red car must have been smokin' by the time it reached the city....  You were merciless with the Monster.   Looking forward to the next part...   Okay, I confess...I'm going to have to Google "hagged-out."

Joe,

I'm wondering if The Monster is even talking to you right now. LOL  I wished you and my friend Bruce could meet. Talk about some wild chaos.  Shadow

Haha, JoeLove....I hope The Monster at least sprung for a huge bucket of...
Popcorn and junk.....This was very entertaining as usual, and I chuckled about Kevin Spacey, too...lol....I am glad you are comfortable in your own skin, Joe. Good for you.

Joe, I love your Monster...
just shows to go you that there are uptight conservatives in every segment of the social order. Especially loved the comment "more queens than you'd find at a Pinochle tournament." May I borrow that one?  BTW, what ever happened with the puppies?  :)pat

Here's my suggestion....go to see Capote!! LOL!  But seriously...Capote is a fantastic movie..Oscar material!!  Your writing creates great visuals!!

Well, I thought it was fabulous!
Reading your posts always reminds me of, "Birdcage", one of my favorite movies.

Joe,
is The Monster really the right partner for you? I'd think that a couple (be it hetero or gay) should be in one mind about most things. At least that's what I saw at home.

Meringue
Unfortunately, this is a 3-parter.  ack!!!  Sorry, tried to write it in one entry, and it just didn't work out.

I will tell you this. . , I would not recommend going to this movie with your husband or boyfriend.

Lols...you have a way of writing that I really like:)
I have to catch this movie, everyone seems to be talking about it, and giving it rave reviews....did you and monster finally get to watch it?
