lol @ gingerassassin
I have wondered this myself wislon!  Another reason is that Iran's contraversial attitude towards Israel has a lot to do with Jerusalem as a holy city for all three religions.  Many members of Bush's administration believe certain passages of the bible literally, such as when Jesus comes again, the Jews of Israel will convert to Christianity.  That's why the US has such an interest in supporting Israel in a military and logistical sense.  Flamethrower is also dead on when it comes to arabs and persians.

Your article as well balanced. At first,I too was wondering why this partial treatment was going on,where India, Pakistan have A bomb  but the Iranian are barred. First, the Iranians A bomb programme started way back when the Shah was in power. However, it has become a threat because, the current regime kind of  shot it own leg by overtly showing their  character. They have promised to wipe the State of Isreal. Furthermore, the refusal is not because Iran is Moslem. It far much more complicated. First the Iranians might be Moslems, but they aren'it Arabs. And the Arabs have always had an ancestral confilict with the Persians who are modern day Iranians. In a way America is  also fighting for the safety of the Arabs. Have you heard any Arab raise his voice in the on going saga?

Good post, Wislon.  I would think the main difference is because Iran has oil that Mr Bush can swallow into his oil refinery of a brain.
