Cee, I think you've got it all figured out. I like your explanation.

Thanks Prof!
I suspect my temple has withstood its share of repairs because of a strong foundation. I used to be singer and when a verse from a hymn springs forth in my mind, I stop to look it up.  "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand."  Hmm, this was written in 1834.  Not bad advice then OR now, I think!  Thanks for reading!

My GOD is my foundation.

Dear Cee.. As I built my foundation. I start building a temple. It is your contentment in life that makes the temple a happy one.

The question which comes first, the egg or the chicken. My answer: The chicken.

You can have eggs faster when you have the chickens.  If you put up a poultry, you buy chicks or chickens, not eggs.

You are a brave woman. I can see the scar. I have added your strength and braveness in my own spiriutual foundation....regards with love....Prof.

Good Lord woman, what a question...I really don't know the answer. I am happy and I have always had the Lord in my life, so I guess you would have to ask a person who doesn't in order to get a true answer. I can't image being happy w/o, but that's just my opinion...

Happiness
Seems to be the direct result of removing the impediments to its awareness. The need to know God can be one of these impediments, if we let the mind believe it is a requirement.

ceemarie53, I can't really answer your question because
it seems that I have never known life without God in it.  First was the experiences of seeing God work in the lives of my parents as they struggled through the problems they encountered raising seven children and then experiencing God's love in my own life when I was old enough to make that decision.   So, it would seem to me that knowing God works happiness in a person's life.   But, I have also known people who say they do not believe in God, who seem to be happy and have a good life.  All that I know for certain is that I do not want to try to live my own way without God's involvement in my life.
