Thanks!
In my area, we've got some kind of cat cold bug that causes all ranges of problems in the cats. Some of them don't get it at all, some get it mildly, and three of our cats flat died from it; two were elderly, Jig and Jake, and Cooter had an oral cancer I was treating holistically.
Clavamox seems pretty effective against it most of the time, but sometimes won't make a dent in it. Orbax once knocked out a case of it when Clavamox didn't. Vitamin C has helped in some cases.
Now my handicapped cat, SunnyBunny, has it, and Babby, the 16 year old hyperthyroid cat (I'm treating her herbally for the hyperthyroid) has it.
This thing seems to lie dormant for long periods, then spring up and attack.
Thanks for writing about this.

Actually M.P.O. some of them don't mind at all!
Of course, then there are the ones that will rip you a new one if you try...

Sorry about that last comment being all in bold!
It was purely accidental ... I wasn't, like, "shouting" or anything.

you can take their temperature rectally or in the ear if they will allow
Wow. So, they actually prefer taking it up the ass?
Sadly, I seriously doubt my cat would allow me to take his temperature (regardless of the orifice). I imagine he'd have to be sedated.
