- Go to Men can be so FREAKING insensitive!!!!!!!! Do you do this to your wife?

and then he says.. well, I let you sleep in when you were sick... as if I could actually get out of bed!
But he doesn't tell me how to clean.. did your hubby get over that kick yet.

Well, Honestly...
if you weren't married then I'd run off with you in a New York minute. Alas, I don't mess with married women because married people need to learn that they can't have their cake and eat it too. Either you're married or you're not married. If you're married then you're not single and you don't get to enjoy the benefits of marriage and the benefits of being single unless your spouse is on the same page with you.
Cheating is one thing. Consentual swinging, however, is completely different.

Oh DM, if I took the effort to bathe, would you run away with me!
Hee hee...or maybe, I could take a bath strike until hubby decided to "clean up" his act!
Believe me, I know ALL men aren't like this but why does mine have to be! Waaaaaa....I guess I should have screened him better before taking our vows.
Ladies!!! Along with the "how do you feel about kids?" and other such important questions to ask a potential husband, please add "how do you feel about housework?"!!

Actually, I feel (as a man) that a few comments are in order...
Do as my wife does: Leave the house and go buy some medicine. ALL DAY LONG.
Do you know how much shopping a woman can do when she feels sick???
(I usually wash the dishes. My wife knows that I can't stand a stinky kitchen - I've stopped worrying about who does what)

Man!
You really are sick, aren't you?
Sorry to hear that.
And in all seriousness, not all men neglect housework. I, for one, rather enjoy a clean house (including windows) and I feel that the home is a joint project where the person with the energy does the work they have the energy for doing without keeping score. Heck, keeping score requires energy that I'd rather not waste!
Honestly, what's better than a belly full of Beef Bourguignon, a dazzling living room, a blazing fireplace, a clean kitchen and the wind howling outside while you and your love sip ruby red wine under a few blankets near the roaring flames?
C'mon, does it get any better than that? I say, NO! But it takes a team effort to get there.

Ha ha (hear the sarcasm) DM...
It's one thing to make a woman do chores when she's perfectly healthy but to make her do it without help even when she's sick is entirely another.
I'm boycotting the dishes, BTW...since I haven't been eating much few of those are mine...so I guess since I'm to sick to bathe...(phew)...the towels aren't mine either...

Lilane, you may have dishes piled up but at least you don't have
someone standing over your shoulder harping on you to get them done. Especially when your are SICK!

Well...
Not all men are like this, the same way not all women are conniving, lying, wheedling witches looking to soak a man for every penny he owns.
I happen to enjoy a clean house, good food, and a warm fireplace. What's more, I don't mind putting forth the effort to ensure that my home fits such an image...even if I have to beat a woman with a stick to get her to make that home for me, I don't mind putting forth that effort!

MEN!!!!
And I thought it was bad not having a husband to help with the chores I guess I forgot what it was like when I was married. Maybe I dont have it so bad after all, but I still have clothes and dishes piled up.
